Key Responsibilities
- Assume carriage of plaintiff personal injury files from inception through settlement or trial
- Conduct discoveries, mediations, motions, pre-trials, and court appearances
- Prepare pleadings, motion records, mediation briefs, and legal correspondence
- Develop litigation strategy and provide thoughtful legal advice to clients
- Collaborate closely with senior counsel, experts, and support staff on complex matters
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive and compassionate advocacy
Qualifications
- Member of the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 3 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- Demonstrated strength in advocacy, negotiation, and legal drafting
- Experience with tort claims, accident benefits, medical malpractice, and disability litigation is highly valued
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation files with confidence and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced practice
- Strong academic background and commitment to professional excellence
