Anthea Chan focuses on personal injury litigation, and her practice has a primary focus on motor vehicle accidents, accident benefit claims, long term disability disputes and occupiers’ liability cases. Anthea first joined Bogoroch & Associates LLP as an articling student in 2014. In addition to regularly conducting examinations for discoveries and mediations, she has successfully argued opposed motions at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and hearings at the License Appeal Tribunal, with reported court decisions on issues of substantive law.
Anthea graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. While at Osgoode, Anthea was awarded the Shin Doi & Benda Prize for Legal Drafting. Prior to her legal studies, Anthea received an Honour Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 2011.
Anthea is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She loves to travel and has had the opportunity to study at the Rotterdam Business School in the Netherlands in 2011 and the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law in Hong Kong in 2013.
Anthea is currently a member of The Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
