Amirah is an associate at Bogoroch & Associates LLP. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Prior to joining Bogoroch & Associates LLP, Amirah articled at a leading Toronto litigation firm. Amirah received her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2018.
During her time at the University of Ottawa, Amirah worked as the Dean’s teaching assistant where she taught tutorials in constitutional law. Amirah also worked at a legal clinic in Montreal, where she drafted submissions for the Human Rights Commission, and for the Faculty of Law’s Writing Academy where she helped students develop effective writing strategies. Amirah was a recipient of many awards for academic excellence—which include the Godyne Silbay Prize for highest standing in Real Estate Law, the Daniel A Artola Award, and Bereskin & Parr Prize for highest standing in Intellectual Property law, and the Hugh G Doyle Memorial Prize for highest standing in Family Law.
