Bogoroch & Associates LLP has Donated to the Canadian Red Cross for Earthquake Relief in Nepal
Date: Thursday, May 14, 2015
Location:

The donation will help Red Cross workers and volunteers from Canada provide medical aid, shelter, clean water and other assistance to the victims of the magnitude-7.8 quake that struck northwest of Kathmandu April 25, killing more than 8,000 people.

The Canadian Red Cross mobile field hospital is currently delivering critical, life-saving care in the hardest-hit areas of the country.

Strong aftershocks continue to hamper relief and recovery efforts. A magnitude-7.3 tremor northeast of Kathmandu on May 12 killed more than 65 people in Nepal and neighboring regions of Tibet and India. The new quake shook buildings, triggered more landslides and terrified survivors of the first one.

At Bogoroch & Associates LLP, our hearts go out to the earthquake victims, and we thank the Red Cross for all their hard work in the region to bring help and hope to those who are in desperate need.

Giving back to the community we live in and assisting the less fortunate in Ontario and around the world is important to us. We are proud that since the firm’s inception, Bogoroch & Associates LLP has donated in excess of $750,000 to deserving charities.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the Red Cross relief effort may donate online to its Nepal Region Earthquake Fund. The Government of Canada will match donations made to registered Canadian charities for Nepal earthquake relief until May 25.

Our latest testimonial - See how we made a difference in our client's life
Date: Monday, October 28, 2013
Location: Toronto

Dear Mr. Bogoroch & Associates:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation for the legal representation you undertook on my behalf regarding my injuries in an escalator accident of November 09, 2006.

You kept me fully informed throughout the process in an honest and straightforward manner and advised me of what I could expect from my legal claim.

Having never dealt with any legal issues during the course of my life, I felt you explained the legal process to me in a manner I was able to understand and therefore made an informed decision as to how I wished to proceed with my claim.

The genuine care and heartfelt interest you always took in my wellbeing contributed to the gratitude I feel today for your representation and kindness.

For the above reasons, I am completely satisfied with the end result of my claim and feel blessed that Bogoroch and Associates LLP was able to be my representative during a very difficult time of my life.

Many thanks,

Vicki Coveyduck

Yoni Silberman Addresses CPP Issues at Osgoode Professional Development
Date: Friday, October 11, 2013
Location:

When representing an injured person in litigation who was formerly working and now faces limited prospects for a return to the workforce, the question ‘when and how to apply for CPP disability benefits?’ will invariably arise.

Applying for Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefits (“CPP Disability Benefits”), though seemingly straightforward, can present numerous administrative and legal challenges. To initiate the process, various forms are required for submission including, but not limited to, the Application for Disability Benefits, the Questionnaire for Disability Benefits, and the Medical Report. Some applications are not accepted on their face and, often, cases involving disability arising from chronic pain present additional complexities.

In personal injury cases, the outcome of a CPP disability application can bear tremendous influence on the tort, accident benefits and/or LTD proceedings. Namely, approval by Service Canada of a disability benefit that is premised on the notion that an individual has sustained a “severe” and “prolonged” impairment, strongly attests to the nature and extent of an injured person’s state of disability. Though not synonymous with the terms “serious” and “permanent”, as is applicable in tort cases, the tests are somewhat analogous and involve a similar analysis.

Our latest testimonial - See how we made a difference in our client's life
Date: Wednesday, July 31, 2013
Location:

Dear Richard,

My words of gratitude simply cannot describe in full the reality that happened a few days ago! All what you did, how you were exclusively professional, heart open compassionate, firm in carrying out the objectives towards the protection of my professional and personal life interests are priceless, remarkable!

The compensation, you were fighting for was truly beyond my expectation and allows me to think now about my future not as a person, thrown over the board of the life.

You gave me the hope, belief and confidence in myself, as an artist, professional teacher, and simply a person who really wants to carry on with the life in spite of the sad medical conclusions of my physic in present.

Thank you again and I will gladly pass the words of thankfulness and pride for you and your associates to my friends and family members.

With the deepest respect and appreciation,

Evelina Krasnova-Ganina.
