Yoni received a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario in 2005. She then attended Osgoode Hall law school, obtaining her Bachelor of Laws in 2008.

Yoni articled with the personal injury department of a Toronto law firm and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2009.

In addition to her academic and legal pursuits, Yoni devotes her spare time to volunteering for non-profit organizations in the community. She is an active member of the Canadian Hadassah WIZO, a philanthropic organization that funds a multitude of programs and projects for children, healthcare and women in Canada and abroad.

Yoni is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates' Society.
