After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Level Two Writing Certificate, Steven launched a successful entrepreneurial venture, which he operated while attending law school at the University of Calgary. Upon obtaining his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2009, Steven returned home to Toronto and completed his articles with a personal injury law firm in Toronto. Steven was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2010.

Steven is a member of the Canadian Bar Association - Ontario, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the Sports Lawyers Association.
